Preparing for Your First Visit:
To make your visit smooth, we encourage you to bring the following with you:
-
Your surgical referral slip and any x-rays taken by your dentist, if applicable.
-
A list of medications you are presently taking.
-
Medical and/or dental insurance card.
What Happens During Your First Visit:
Your first appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and discussing your oral health goals. We’ll carefully review your health history and perform a full evaluation – this may include diagnostic imaging like digital x-rays or a 3D scans. Once we gather all the necessary information, we’ll discuss treatment options. The consultation will be with our board-certified oral surgeon, and you will have plenty of time to ask questions, to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs, lifestyle and comfort level.
What Happens Next:
As courtesy to our patients, we verify your insurance benefits and discuss insurance coverage. Surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or surgical plan may require a separate appointment to provide treatment. We advise that patients under the age of 18 come to their appointment accompanied by a parent or guardian.
